With over 25 years of experience in the building industry, Kurt’s passion for construction began long before the creation of Mekcon. Having always dreamed of becoming a builder, he started his career in carpentry and gained extensive experience across both residential and commercial construction before turning his lifelong ambition into reality and establishing his own company.
Driven by a strong work ethic and a passion for quality craftsmanship, Kurt remains personally involved in every project — from the initial vision through to the final details. His hands-on approach, meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering work to the highest standard set Mekcon apart. Known for being highly particular and never overlooking the finer details, Kurt takes pride in ensuring every aspect of a build is completed with care, precision and purpose.

Really impressed by Mekcon's attention to detail and quality in building our deck. Kurt is as fussy as we were in attending to every little detail and highly communicative so we were always well informed over the 6 month build. I recently had my Toorak cosmetic clinic fitted out by Kurt from Mekcon, and I could not be happier with the result. His finishing, craftsmanship, and attention to detail went far above my expectations. Kurt and his team of trades renovated our ensuite bathroom to perfection and we couldn't be happier with the final result. They took our drab, outdated bathroom to a luxurious and stylish space to be enjoyed for many years to come. His execution and knowledge of building codes was second to none. As with any renovation project, there are bound to be unforeseen things that arise, however Kurt handled these with ease and was always prompt to offer solutions and advice.
Kurt managed the whole process from beginning to end seamlessly, employing skilled trades as well as adding his creative problem solving skills to grapple with difficult structural situations. Kurt is a delight to work with. He communicates clearly, with honesty and integrity, and at frequent intervals. All his trades were skilled, professional and respectful. Work was completed within the scheduled timeline.
Kurt assisted us with upgrading the entrance of our office. He was very friendly, great at communicating and did an exceptional job. The entrance is absolutely beautiful and we would definitely engage in future, if any further works are required.
Had Mekcon renovate an outdoor decking/alfresco, quality is immaculate and wouldn't recommend anyone else for the job.
